The diagnostic procedures are intended to isolate a non-functional compass/thermometer from a fault in the vehicle wiring harness. The L.H.and R.H.
connector housings are as shown.

CAUTION: Before replacing any electronic compass/thermometer module for concerns of incorrect compass headings, always perform the true north

adjustment procedure as the initial diagnosis step. If the compass/ thermometer module is still inaccurate, perform calibration and then set
the true north adjustment again. If this fails to correct inaccuracy problems, the vehicle must be demagnetized.
