Exhaust Manifold: Service and Repair
Right Side

1. Turn off air suspension switch in luggage compartment. Disconnect battery ground cable, then remove engine cover. 
2. Disconnect Intake Air Temperature sensor (IAT) connector and crankcase vent tube from air cleaner outlet tube. 
3. Loosen air cleaner outlet to throttle body bolt. 
4. Loosen clamp on engine air cleaner outlet tube assembly to engine air cleaner. Disconnect tube. 
5. Remove retaining bolt from support bracket clamp on righthand cam cover to engine air cleaner outlet tube assembly. 
6. Remove air cleaner and resonator assembly. 
7. Disconnect righthand oxygen sensor. 
8. Remove four manifold to cylinder head retaining bolts from upper side of exhaust manifold. 
9. Raise and support vehicle. 

10. Disconnect exhaust pipe from lefthand catalyst. 
11. Disconnect catalyst from exhaust manifold and remove catalyst. Remove manifold. 

Exhaust Manifold Tightening Sequence

12. Reverse procedure to install. Tighten exhaust manifold to cylinder head bolts to 15-22 ft lb in sequence shown.
