Mark VIII V8-4.6L DOHC (1996)
Installation
1. Position safety belt components as shown and make sure the safety belt webbing is not twisted. If it is, remove the twist.
2. Position front safety belt retractor and tongue in vehicle and install front safety belt retractor bolt. Tighten front safety belt retractor bolt to 30-40
N.m (22-30 lb-ft).
3. Insert safety belt anchor and bezel through slot in quarter trim panel.
4. Install quarter trim panel.
5. Install quarter trim panel retaining screw behind rear shoulder belt bezel.
6. Install safety belt anchor-to-lower quarter trim panel bolt. Tighten bolt to 30-40 N.m (22-30 lb-ft).
7. Install rear seat back and cushion.
8. Snap rear shoulder belt bezel into quarter trim panel.
9. Snap front shoulder belt bezel into quarter trim panel.
10. Install rubber washer and front safety belt anchor-to-sill bolt. Tighten bolt to 30-40 N.m (22-30 lb-ft).
11. Install the front safety belt guide bolt with the Seat Belt Bolt Bit T77L-2 100-A (No.50 Torx(R)). Tighten bolt to 30-40 N.m (22-30 lb-ft).
12. Position front seat shoulder strap guide cover over front safety belt guide bolt and front safety belt guide and push carefully towards outside of car
to install front seat shoulder strap guide cover to front safety belt guide.
13. Check restraint system for proper operation.
