Air Spring: Service and Repair
Front

1. Turn air suspension switch OFF, then raise and support vehicle.
2. Remove tire and wheel assembly.
3. Remove height sensor.
4. Remove air spring solenoid.
5. Remove cover from air spring attachments in engine compartment.
6. Remove retaining nuts and collar holding air spring studs to shock tower.
7. Remove lower nut and bolt to detach shock absorber from lower suspension arm.

CAUTION:  Do not remove front shock absorber's large center nut, as this may result in a permanent air leak through top of air spring.

8. Carefully remove air spring/shock absorber.
9. Reverse procedure to install, noting the following:

a. Torque three upper retaining nuts over shock tower to 17.2-23.4 ft lb.
b. Refill air springs. See: Air Spring Filling or Refolding
c. Torque lower shock absorber nut to 199-243 ft lb.
