Suspension Strut / Shock Absorber: Service and Repair
CAUTION: These models are equipped with gas pressurized shock absorbers which extend unassisted during removal. Do not apply heat or flame
during removal.
1.
Turn OFF the air suspension. Raise and support vehicle. Support the rear suspension arms.
CAUTION: The shock absorbers act as the rebound stops for the suspension. When the shocks are removed, the suspension arms must be
restrained to prevent damage to the rear suspension components.
2.
Remove upper shock mount to body nuts from inside luggage compartment.
3.
Remove bolt and nut at lower arm, then remove shock absorber.
4.
Reverse procedure to install.
