MKS AWD V6-3.7L (2009)
NOTE: Vehicles with Integrated Keyhead Transmitters (IKTs) were originally equipped with IKTs manufactured by Huf. Replacement IKTs made by
Strattec will work correctly, but may look and feel different. It is recommended that IKTs be replaced with the same manufacturer's keys. Rotunda will
supply matching keys by the same manufacturer if they are ordered by vehicle.
NOTE: This procedure is available only on vehicles equipped with Integrated Keyhead Transmitter (IKT) keys. Vehicles equipped with Intelligent
Access (IA) keys do not have this feature.
NOTE: This procedure is used when a customer needs to have an additional key programmed into the vehicle without erasing stored key codes, but does
not have 2 programmed keys available. This procedure is also useful when attempting to determine if an ignition key is defective, as a new key can be
installed without erasing keys or without having 2 programmed keys available.
NOTE: Before programming, the new key must have the correct mechanical cut for the ignition lock cylinder.
NOTE: If 8 keys are already programmed, this procedure does not allow any more ignition keys to be programmed. The number of keys that are
programmed into the Passive Anti-Theft System (PATS) can be determined by viewing the Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC) PID N_KEYCODE.
1. Insert the new, unprogrammed PATS key into the ignition lock cylinder and turn the key from the OFF position to the ON position.
2. From the scan tool, enter TOOLBOX. Select BODY-SECURITY-PATS Functions and follow the on-screen instructions to ENTER SECURITY

3. NOTE: Make sure the selection made is "PROGRAM" (program additional ignition key). If the "ERASE" (ignition key code erase) selection is
made, all of the keys are erased from the system.
From the scan tool menu select: "Program additional ignition key" and follow the on-screen instructions.
4. Turn the key to the OFF position and disconnect the scan tool.
5. Start the vehicle with the new PATS key. The vehicle starts with the new PATS key and with the original PATS keys.
