Removal

has been previously drained. Following these instructions will help prevent system contamination, brake component damage and the risk of
serious personal injury.

NOTICE: Do not spill brake fluid on painted or plastic surfaces or damage to the surface may occur. If brake fluid is spilled onto a painted or
plastic surface, immediately wash the surface with water.
1. Remove the brake pads. For additional information, refer to Brake Pads See: Brake Pad/Service and Repair/Front Disc Brake/Brake Pads.
2. Remove the brake caliper flow bolt and position the brake hose aside.

Discard the copper washers.
3. Remove the brake caliper.
Installation
1. Position the brake hose and install the brake caliper flow bolt.

Install new copper washers.

Tighten to 47 Nm (35 lb-ft).
2. Install the brake pads. For additional information, refer to Brake Pads See: Brake Pad/Service and Repair/Front Disc Brake/Brake Pads.
3. Bleed the brake caliper. For additional information, refer to Brakes and Traction Control for Component Bleeding.
