ISSUE
Some 2010 Taurus, MKS and MKT built on or before 3/11/2010 with Intelligent Access Key (IA Key) system may exhibit a No Fob / No Key Detected
message displayed in the message center accompanied with engine no crank and no Remote Key Entry (RKE) functionality. The engine may only
crank/start if the IA Key is inserted in the backup pocket (MKS: glove box; MKT and Taurus: center console)
ACTION
Follow the Service Procedure steps to correct the condition.
SERVICE PROCEDURE
1. Install IDS and ID vehicle.
2. Select Module Programming.
3. Select Module Reprogramming and then Remote Function Actuator (RFA) module.
4. Reprogram the RFA module to the latest calibration using IDS release 65.11 and higher or 66.02 and higher. This new calibration is not included in
the VCM 2010.1 DVD. Calibration files may also be obtained at the website.
