3. Clean the power steering pump and supply tube area thoroughly with Motorcraft(R) Metal Brake Parts Cleaner and allow the surface to dry. Surface
must be clean and dry in order for the sealant to bond. (Figure 2)
4. Apply a generous bead of Motorcraft(R) Ultra Silicone Sealant around the supply tube-to-pump housing connection. Make sure the sealant covers the
surface all the way around the tube to form a good air tight seal. (Figure 2)
5. Allow the sealant to dry according to the instructions on the tube.
6. Install the RH splash shield and the 7 pin-type retainers.
7. Top off the power steering fluid level.
