Alternator: Description and Operation

GENERATOR

The charging system consists of the following components:

Generator

Integral voltage regulator

The generator is belt-driven by the engine accessory drive system. The generator has an internal voltage regulator that is not replaced separately. The
generator and voltage regulator are repaired as an assembly.
