7. Remove the pin-type retainer.
8. Remove the side shield.

Pull the side shield out far enough to access the power lumbar switch and disconnect the switch.

Pull the wire harnesses through the seat cushion frame and remove the side shield.
9. Remove the lumbar control switch from the side shield.

Release the tabs and remove the lumbar control switch.
INSTALLATION
1. Restore the vehicle to operating condition.

Install the affected seat.

Reactivate The Supplemental Restraint System (SRS)

With all the restraint system diagnostic tools removed, prove out the supplemental restraint system (SRS).
WARNING: THE RESTRAINT SYSTEM DIAGNOSTIC TOOL IS FOR RESTRAINT SYSTEM SERVICE ONLY. REMOVE
FROM THE VEHICLE PRIOR TO ROAD USE. FAILURE TO REMOVE COULD RESULT IN INJURY AND POSSIBLE
VIOLATION OF VEHICLE SAFETY STANDARDS.
