Idle Air Control Valve: Service and Repair

REMOVAL

1. Disconnect the battery ground cable.

 

2. Remove the bolts and the accelerator splash shield.

3. Disconnect the Idle Air Control (IAC) electrical connector.

4. Remove the bolts and the IAC valve.

INSTALLATION

1. To install, reverse the removal procedure. Install a new Idle Air Control (IAC) gasket. Tighten the bolts in 2 stages.

Stage 1: Tighten to 10 Nm (89 Lb-In).

Stage 2: Rotate 90 degrees.
