Removal
CAUTION: Remove the rear wheel and tire assemblies, brake calipers, and brake discs to prevent brake drag during the drive pinion bearing preload
adjustment.
1. WARNING: The electrical power to the air suspension system must be shut off prior to hoisting, jacking or towing an air suspension
vehicle. This can be accomplished by turning off the air suspension switch located in the RH kick panel area. Failure to do so can result in
unexpected inflation or deflation of the air springs, which can result in shifting of the vehicle during these operations. Failure to follow
these instructions may result in personal injury and vehicle damage.
Raise and support the vehicle.
2. Remove the rear wheel and tire assemblies.
3. CAUTION: Do not allow the brake caliper to hang from the brake hose. Provide a suitable support.
Remove the rear brake calipers, and the brake discs. Position the brake calipers aside.
4. Index-mark the driveshaft flange yoke and pinion flange to maintain initial balance during installation.
