ISSUE
A "squeaking" noise from the rear while lightly braking from 64-32 km/h (40-20 mph) may occur on some vehicles. This may be due to an interaction
between the rear brake shoe geometry and Navigator 16" wheel design.
ACTION
Verify that the noise is coming from the rear linings.
If verified, replace rear linings with revised rear Brake Linings (XL7Z-2200-AA). Refer to the Navigator Workshop Manual, Section 206-04.
NOTE
THIS FIX IS SPECIFIC TO NAVIGATOR AND WILL NOT ADDRESS NOISE CONCERNS ON EXPEDITION OR F-SERIES VEHICLES.
