9. CAUTION: Mark the position and location of the bearing caps. Always install the bearing caps in their identical locations and positions.
Remove the bearing caps.

10. To simplify differential assembly removal, fabricate two differential assembly retaining straps from metal stock as shown.
11. WARNING: Do allow the differential assembly to fall. Install the fabricated differential assembly retaining straps as shown. Failure to
follow these instructions may result in personal injury.
CAUTION: Place wood blocks between the pry bars and the differential housing to protect the machined surface from damage.
With the fabricated differential assembly retaining straps installed, position the wood blocks and the pry bars, and remove the differential assembly
from the differential housing
