Idle Speed/Throttle Actuator - Electronic: Service and Repair

REMOVAL 

CAUTION:  Always disconnect the battery ground cable prior to work on the electronic engine controls or damage to the electronic component may
occur.

1. Disconnect the battery ground cable.

2. Remove the accelerator control splash shield.

Remove the bolts.

Remove the accelerator control splash shield.

3. Remove IAC valve.

Disconnect the electrical connector.

Disconnect the throttle bypass hose.

Remove the bolts.

4

Remove the Idle Air Control valve (IAC valve).

5

Remove and discard the idle air control gasket.

INSTALLATION 

1. Position the idle air control valve and a new idle air control gasket and tighten the bolts in 2 steps.

Step 1: 3-10 Nm (71-89 lb/in)

Step 2: Rotate 90 degrees
