TECHNICAL INSTRUCTIONS
Remove and replace the Hood Latch Assembly
Refer to Shop Manual - Section 44-08 for replacement procedures.

Ford Motor Company has determined that a defect which relates to motor vehicle safety exists in certain 1991 Lincoln Town Cars.
Safety Defect
The hood may unexpectedly open while the car is being driven.
WARNING
If this should occur while the car is in motion, the driver's view of the road, through the windshield would be substantially blocked.
This could result in a collision or other accident.
Repairs
At no charge to you, your dealer will replace the hood latch assembly on your car.
