This TSB article is being republished in its entirety to include 1994 through 1996 model years and to update the part numbers.
ISSUE:
An inoperative Decklid Power Pull-Down may be the result of an inoperative power pull-down switch.
ACTION:
Replace the power pull-down switch if it is found to be defective. Do not replace the entire power pull-down assembly; a service switch is available as a
separate part. Refer to the following Service Procedure for details.
SERVICE PROCEDURE
SWITCH - DIAGNOSIS/REMOVAL
1.
Remove carpeting surrounding the pull-down unit.
2.
Disconnect harness connector from switch (Figure 3).
