Place the shield loosely in position and lightly snug the nut against the shield (Figure 3).

Move the shield upper tab into position with the upper mounting boss on the brake adapter and carefully hold in position with a 3 inch "C"
clamp; the anvil portion of the "C" clamp centered over the shield tab hole.

Make sure that the shield tab is located squarely on the adapter mounting boss.

Tighten the "C" clamp with the threaded portion against the upper adapter leg (Figure 3).

Mark a circle around the cupped end of the "C" clamp on the adapter leg (Figure 4).
