Touch the compressor-to-condenser discharge line (Fig.1) with a magnet to see if it is steel or aluminum.
If the discharge line is aluminum, remove it, using spring lock coupling tools No. T81P-19623-G1 and G2. Discard the line. Install a new steel
discharge line assembly, Part No. F2VY-19972-A and replace the black o-rings on the condenser connector for the discharge line with green
o-rings from the o-ring kit.
If the discharge line is steel, the line and o-rings are OK. Proceed to Step 3.

Remove the condenser-to-evaporator and compressor-to-accumulator/drier lines, using the appropriate spring lock coupling tools.

Remove the existing o-rings from the spring lock couplings. Perform the following service procedure on each of the spring lock couplings.
Remove the existing black o-rings being careful not to scratch the grooves in the male fitting or inside of the female fitting. (a scratch can result in
a refrigerant leak).
