ISSUE:
To prevent damage to the Ford/JBL compact disc player during shipping for service or repair, the "transportation screw" MUST be installed
in the back of the unit. The "transportation screw" is used to hold the laser arm in place.
ACTION:
If service is required, install the "transportation screw" prior to shipping the compact disc player to a Ford authorized same-day service
exchange station. Refer to the following service procedure.

1.
After compact disc player is removed from vehicle, remove the two (2) screws that mount the DC to DC converter, Figure 6.
2.
Put the two (2) DC to DC converter screws in screw holes on the back of compact disc player.
3.
Locate compact disc player transport screw in the operating instructions package in glove box. Install transport screw in the hole on back of
compact disc player, Figure 6.
4.
Reverse Steps 1 through 3 to replace compact disc player in vehicle.
