ISSUE:

The Positive Crankcase Ventilation (PCV) valve does not require service as outlined in the vehicle maintenance schedule. However, a
partially plugged PCV valve may increase the chance of sludge to form inside the engine crankcase. If the sludge build-up is severe enough, it
may result in internal engine damage.

ACTION:

It is recommended that the PCV valve be replaced every 15,000 miles/24,000 kilometers. Refer to the following PCV application chart for
the proper service part number.

NOTE:

This is not required to be performed (PCV valve replacement). However, Ford recommends that you replace the PCV valve in order to achieve
the best vehicle operation. Failure to do this will not invalidate the vehicle emission warranty.
