Wheel Bearing: Service and Repair
1.
Raise car and remove front wheels.
2.
Remove caliper mounting bolts. It is not necessary to disconnect the brake line for this operation.
3.
Slide caliper off of the disc, inserting a spacer between the shoes to hold them in their bores after the caliper is removed. Position caliper assembly
out of the way. Do not allow caliper to hang by brake hose.
4.
Remove hub and disc. Grease retainer and inner bearing can now be removed.
5.
Reverse procedure to install.
