7. Remove the 4 bolts and the oil filter adapter and gasket.

Discard the oil filter adapter gasket.
Installation
1. CAUTION: Do not use metal scrapers, wire brushes, power abrasive discs or other abrasive means to clean the sealing surface. These
tools cause scratches and gouges that make leak paths. Use a plastic scraping tool to remove all traces of the gasket material.
Clean the sealing surfaces.
2. Install a new gasket and the oil filter adapter and tighten the 4 bolts in the sequence shown.

Tighten to 25 Nm (18 lb-ft).
3. Connect the EOP switch electrical connector and attach the wiring harness.
4. NOTE: Lubricate the oil filter O-ring seal with clean engine oil.
Install a new oil filter.
5. Connect the lower radiator hose to the oil filter adapter.
6. Fill the crankcase with clean engine oil.
7. Fill and bleed the cooling system.
