Band Apply Servo: Service and Repair
Reverse Servo Assembly
Removal
1. Remove the main control valve body.
2. Use the Servo Piston Remover/Replacer to remove the reverse band servo retaining ring.
1. Compress the servo spring.
2. Remove the reverse band servo retaining ring.
3. NOTE: The length of the rod attached to the piston is graded for three different lengths. Therefore, they should not be installed in any
transmission other than the transmission from which they were removed.
Remove the (A) reverse band servo cover, (B) reverse band servo piston and rod and (C) reverse band servo spring.
