Wheel Bearing: Service and Repair
FRONT WHEEL HUB AND BEARING ASSEMBLY
REMOVAL
1. Raise and support the vehicle.
2. Remove the wheel and tire assembly.
3. Remove the front disc brake caliper and the brake disc.
4. Remove the front hubcap grease seal.
5. CAUTION: The front axle wheel hub retainer must never be reused. If the retainer is reused, it can back off resulting in loss of the front
wheel and or damage to the wheel hub and bearing assembly.
Remove the front axle wheel hub retainer. Discard the retainer.
6. CAUTION: When removing the wheel hub and bearing, use caution not to damage the ABS sensor lead or the ABS sensor ring.
NOTE: The wheel hub and bearing assembly is a slip-fit design and should not require a puller to remove.
Remove the wheel hub and bearing assembly.
