Oil Level Indicator and Tube
Material
Removal and Installation
1. With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. For additional information, refer to Maintenance/Service and Repair.
2. Remove the LH exhaust manifold.
3. Remove the bolt and the oil level indicator tube.

To install, tighten to 10 Nm (89 inch lbs.).
4. CAUTION: Failure to lubricate the O-ring seal and the oil level indicator tube-to-engine block mating surface with clean engine oil can result in
engine oil leaks.
CAUTION: Make sure the O-ring seal remains in position and does not roll up the indicator tube during installation.
Remove the 0-ring seal and discard.
5. To install, reverse the removal procedure.

Lubricate the new 0-ring seal and engine mating surface with clean engine oil.
