This TSB article highlights and clarifies HomeLink(R) Universal Transmitter system service information that is often overlooked due to unfamiliarity
with this new feature.
ACTION:
Review the following information to become familiar with the various features, operation and service of the HomeLink(R) Universal Transmitter system.
The HomeLink(R) Universal Transmitter is a remote control transmitter that is integrated into the vehicle visor. The unit will replace up to three (3)
remote controls used to operate garage doors, gates, security systems, or home/office lighting systems.

IF PROGRAMMING TAKES PLACE WITHIN RANGE OF THE GARAGE DOOR OPENER OR GATE SYSTEM TO BE OPERATED, MAKE
SURE THAT PEOPLE AND OBJECTS ARE OUT OF THE PATH OF THE DOOR OR GATE.

PROGRAMMING The HomeLink(R) Universal Transmitter can be programmed either at the dealership or at the customer's home. It does not need
to be within range of the system (e.g., garage door opener) that it will be operating in order to program.
