To determine if the garage door opener system is a Rolling Code type, program the HomeLink(R) Universal Transmitter as described in the
Programming Procedure within this article, then depress the button you have just programmed. If the LED flashes rapidly for 1-2 seconds, then remains
on, this identifies the garage door opener system as having a Rolling Code.

The garage door opener must now be programmed to recognize the HomeLink(R) Universal Transmitter.

NOTE: 

THE FOLLOWING PROCEDURE MUST TAKE PLACE AT THE CUSTOMER'S HOME. IF NECESSARY, A LOCAL DOOR OPENER
SERVICE TECHNICIAN IS AVAILABLE BY CALLING THE HOMELINK(R) UNIVERSAL TRANSMITTER HELPLINE, (800) 355-3515,
9:00 AM-9:00 PM (EST) MONDAY THROUGH FRIDAY AND 10:00 AM-6:00 PM (EST) SATURDAY. SERVICE CHARGES WILL APPLY.

Remove the cover panel from the garage door opener receiver. The receiver should be located by the garage door opener motor.

Locate the training button on the garage door opener receiver. The exact location and color of the opener may vary by door opener brand. If you
have difficulty locating the training button, reference your garage door opener owner's manual, or call HomeLink(R) Universal Transmitter
Helpline, (800) 355-3515, 9:00 AM-9:00 PM (EST) Monday through Friday and 10:00 AM-6:00 PM (EST) Saturday.

Press the training button on the-garage door opener receiver for 1-2 seconds.

Return to the HomeLink(R) Universal Transmitter in the vehicle, and depress the previously programmed button for the duration of the fast blink
of the LED (1-2 seconds). Release the button, and re-press to confirm that the system has been trained.

The garage door opener should now recognize the HomeLink(R) Universal Transmitter. The customer may now use the HomeLink(R) Universal
Transmitter or the original transmitter to operate the door.
