Door Lock Cylinder: Service and Repair
Removal and Installation

REMOVAL

NOTE:  When a door lock cylinder must be replaced, replace both the door and ignition locks as a set to avoid carrying an extra key which fits only one
lock.

1. Remove trim panel and position the watershield away from the access holes.
2. Disconnect the door lock cylinder from the front door latch control cylinder rod.
3. Disconnect anti-theft switch connector (if equipped).
4. Remove the door lock cylinder retainer and remove the door lock cylinder from the front door.
5. Transfer the lock cylinder arm to the new door lock cylinder. Replace the rod retainer if it shows any wear or warpage.

INSTALLATION

1. Follow removal procedure in reverse order.
