Sunroof / Moonroof Lift Mechanism: Service and Repair
REMOVAL
1. Open roof sliding outer glass panel approximately one-quarter of the way.
2. Remove roof sliding panel opening shield.
3. Close and raise roof sliding outer glass panel to full vent position.
4. Remove three screws retaining each lifter arm.
5. Remove roof sliding outer glass panel. Lifter arms must be in the vent position.
6. Operating the roof sliding outer glass panel, run lifter arms to retracted position and rearward approximately 15.25 cm (6 Inches).
7. Grab lifter arms and push guides sideways out of track to remove arms.
INSTALLATION
1. Position lifter arms in track and install guide shoe into track.
2. Slide lifter arm forward until it contacts roof air deflector.
3. Operate roof sliding outer glass panel forward, while holding lifter arm up above cable block.
4. Operate roof sliding outer glass panel full forward, until cable block is in the vent position.
5. Insert cable block pins into bottom of kidney slots in lifter arms.
6. Operate roof sliding outer glass panel rearward to the retracted position. Push down on front portion of lifter to make sure that lifter arm blocks
travel under mechanical stops. Snap lifter pins into top of kidney slots.
7. Install roof sliding outer glass panel assembly.
