2. Apply air pressure to the fluid port of disc brake caliper to remove caliper piston using Rubber-Tipped Air Gun D93L-7000-A or equivalent.
CAUTION: Use a wooden block or layers of shop towels to cushion possible impact of the wheel caliper piston against the front disc brake
caliper iron when wheel caliper piston comes out of the piston bore. Do not use a screwdriver or similar tool to pry wheel caliper piston out of the
bore, as damage to the wheel caliper piston may result. If the wheel caliper piston is seized and cannot be forced from the disc brake caliper, tap
lightly around the piston while applying air pressure. Use care because the wheel caliper piston can develop considerable force from pressure
buildup.
3. Remove the dust boot from the front disc brake caliper assembly.
4. Remove the rubber piston seal from the cylinder and discard.
ASSEMBLY
1. When assembling front disc brake caliper, examine wheel caliper piston for surface irregularities, pitting, scoring, wear, or corrosion of the chrome
plated surface. Replace wheel caliper piston if damaged. Be sure to clean foreign material from wheel cylinder piston surfaces and lubricate with
brake fluid before inserting into front disc brake caliper Always install new seal and dust boot.
2. Start caliper piston into caliper bore by hand to assure correct alignment.

3. When installing wheel caliper piston back into bore, use wood block or another flat stock, like an old brake shoe and lining assembly, between
C-clamp and wheel caliper piston. Do not apply C-clamp directly to wheel cylinder piston surface. This can result in damage to wheel caliper
piston. Be sure wheel caliper piston is not cocked.
4. Make sure dust boot is tight in boot groove on wheel caliper piston and in front disc brake caliper.
5. Install front disc brake caliper assembly.
Removal and Installation
REMOVAL
1. Raise and support vehicle.
2. Remove the wheel and tire assembly. Use care to avoid damage to, or interference with, the wheel cylinder bleeder screw during removal.
3. Mark disc brake caliper assembly to make sure it is installed on correct side during installation.
