Compass: Service and Repair

REMOVAL

1. Remove screw retaining compass module to inside rear view mirror.

NOTE: The compass module is mounted on the base of the inside rear view mirror.

2. To remove the compass module, gently but firmly pull module down to disengage mirror mount.
3. Press locking tang and remove connector from compass module.
4. Remove module.

INSTALLATION

1. Connect wiring connector into compass module until retainer engages. Make sure connector fully engages.
2. Mount compass module to mirror mount by pressing firmly but gently until screw holes align.
3. Install screw retaining compass module to inside rear view mirror.
4. Check compass operation.
