Compass: Initial Inspection and Diagnostic Overview

1. Verify the customer's concern by operating the vehicle along roads of known direction to duplicate the condition.
2. Inspect to determine if one of the following mechanical or electrical concerns apply:

VISUAL INSPECTION CHART

Mechanical
-

Physical damage to compass module.

Electrical
-

Loose or corroded connectors

-

Open fuse unction panel Fuse 6 (10A)

3. If the inspection reveals obvious concern(s) that can be readily identified, service as required.
4. If the concern(s) remains after the inspection, determine the symptom(s) and go to the Symptom Chart.  See: Symptom Related Diagnostic
