Center Mounted Brake Lamp: Service and Repair

REMOVAL

1. Remove two screws (one each side) that hold the rear hi-mount lamp to the package tray trim panel.
2. Lift the forward edge and pull rear hi-mount lamp slightly away from the back window glass.
3. Twist the bulb sockets to remove from the rear hi-mount lamp.
4. Remove rear hi-mount lamp.
5. Pull the miniature bulbs straight out of the socket.

INSTALLATION

1. Push new miniature bulbs into sockets. Install bulb sockets.
2. Position the rear hi-mount lamp to the mounting brackets while aligning the locating pins on the bottom of the rear hi-mount lamp to the package

tray trim panel.

3. Lightly hold the rear hi-mount lamp toward the back window glass and install the two screws.
4. Tighten screws to 2 Nm (17 Lb-In).
