Power Door Lock Switch: Testing and Inspection
Driver Door Lock Switch Connector
Passenger Door Lock Switch Connector
1. Use an ohmmeter to test the door lock switch.
2. With the door lock switch in the NEUTRAL position between terminal 2 and terminals 3 and 4, should be an open circuit.
3. When the raised portion of the door lock switch rocker knob (marked L) is pushed resistance between terminals 3 and 2 on LH lock switch, and
terminals 3 and 4 on RH lock switch should be 5 ohms or less.
4. When the depressed portion of the door lock switch rocker knob (marked U) is pushed, resistance between terminals 3 and 4 on LH lock switch
and terminals 3 and 2 on RH lock switch should be 5 ohms or less.
5. If the door lock switch does not test as stated, replace the entire door lock switch housing and wiring assembly.
