Wheel Fastener: Service and Repair
Wheel Stud

Front

REMOVAL

1. Raise vehicle on hoist.
2. Remove wheel and tire assembly.
3. Remove disc brake caliper and front disc brake rotor. Discard caliper mounting bolts.
4. Position lug bolt to clear front wheel spindle.
5. Remove lug bolt from wheel hub.

INSTALLATION

1. Install lug bolt into wheel hub.
2. Using a lug nut, seat wheel hub bolt into wheel hub.
3. Install front disc brake rotor and disc brake caliper. Use new caliper mounting bolts.
4. Install wheel and tire assembly.

Rear

REMOVAL

WARNING:  TURN AIR SUSPENSION SERVICE SWITCH OFF (IF EQUIPPED) TO PREVENT PERSONAL INJURY. 

1. Raise vehicle on hoist.
2. Remove wheel and tire assembly.
3. Remove rear disc brake rotor.
4. Using a punch, drive lug bolt out of axle flange.

INSTALLATION

1. Position lug bolt into axle flange.
2. Using a reversed lug nut, seat lug bolt into axle flange. Discard lug nut after use.
3. Install wheel and tire assembly. Tighten lug nuts to 115-142 Nm (85-104 ft. lbs.). 
4. Lower vehicle. Turn ON air suspension service switch.
