Town Car V8-4.6L VIN W (1997)
13. Disconnect rear axle housing vent from rear axle housing.
14. Disconnect lower rear shock absorber studs from the mounting brackets on the rear axle housing.
15. Remove retaining nut and bolts and disconnect the rear suspension arm and bushings from the mountings on the rear axle housing ear brackets.
16. Lower rear axle housing assembly until the springs are released. Lift out springs.
17. Remove nuts and bolts that connect rear suspension arm and bushings to rear axle housing. Disconnect both rear suspension arm and bushings
from the rear axle housing.
18. Lower rear axle housing and remove it from the vehicle.
