Power Window Motor: Service and Repair
Front Door
REMOVAL
1. Remove front door trim panel and front door trim shield.
2. Place window glass in full up position and secure with tape.
3. Disconnect battery ground cable.
4. Disconnect window regulator electric drive wires at multiple connector.
5. Remove three 1/4 inch rivets retaining window regulator electric drive bracket to inner panel.
6. Remove window regulator electric drive retaining screws using a No. 2 Scrulox(R) bit and separate window regulator electric drive from front
door power window regulator.
7. Working through access hole, remove window regulator electric drive bracket from inner panel and slide window regulator electric drive back to
access hole in door to gain access to three window regulator electric drive retaining screws.
8. Remove window regulator electric drive from inside front door.
INSTALLATION
1. Position window regulator electric drive to front door power window regulator minus motor. Install three window regulator electric drive screws.
Tighten to 4-5 Nm (36-44 Lb-In).
2. Reposition window regulator electric drive in door.
3. Install rivets retaining front door power window regulator minus motor to inner panel (1/4-20 x 1/2 Inch screw and 1/4-20 nut and washer
assemblies or equivalent metric fasteners may be used).
4. Connect window regulator electric drive wiring connector. Connect battery ground cable.
5. Remove tape and check front door window glass operation. Install front door trim shield and front door trim panel.
