DESCRIPTION
Some customers may complain of stains or white spotting on the screen inside of the multi-information display (MID) or the information display. This is
caused by chemicals used in the production process which attack the light control film. The parts have now been modified to repair this concern.
Customers having this concern should have their vehicle repaired using the following repair procedure.
REPAIR PROCEDURE
1. Verify customer concern.
2. Replace the MID / information display with one listed in the Parts Information. Refer to MS3 online instructions or Workshop Manual section 09-22.
NOTE:
^ Be sure to remove the SD card from the original navigation unit to transfer to the replacement unit (navigation equipped vehicles only).
^ This is a configurable module. Programmable Module Installation (PMI) must be performed for proper module operation.
3. Verify repair.
