CONSOLE LID DOES NOT LOCK

DESCRIPTION

Some customers may experience that the console lid (A) does not lock. If the console lid is forcibly opened without releasing the console lid latch, the
latch may come off. If the latch spring is not installed in a correct position when installing the latch, the latch will not operate.

Customers having this concern should have their vehicle repaired using the following repair procedure.

NOTE:

After performing the repair, make sure to tell the customer to release the latch whenever the console lid is opened. The repair can only be covered once
by warranty.

REPAIR PROCEDURE

1. Verify customer concern.

2. Remove the latch (A) from the console lid (B).

3. Install the spring (A) to the latch correctly.
