DESCRIPTION
Some aftermarket power plug / chargers may become stuck in the accessory socket. This is caused by the negative spring contacts of the power plug I
charger locking into the slots of the accessory socket. A modified accessory socket is now available to prevent this from happening.
Customers having this concern should have their vehicle repaired using the following repair procedure.
REPAIR PROCEDURE
1. Verify customer concern.
NOTE:
It is not necessary to replace all the accessory sockets in a vehicle, even though most vehicles have at least two. Only replace those that have a
power plug / charger stuck in them.
2. Remove the accessory socket together with stuck accessory power plug / charger from the vehicle. Refer to MS3 online instruction section 09-20.
NOTE:
DO NOT attempt to remove the stuck accessory power plug / charger from the accessory socket until step 4, otherwise damage may occur.
3. Carefully release both anchor tabs of the accessory socket cover using a small flat screwdriver while applying downward pressure on the cover to
release it.
