Air Fuel Ratio (A/F) Sensor Removal/Installation

AIR FUEL RATIO (A/F) SENSOR REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [LF, L5]

WARNING:

-

A hot engine and exhaust system can cause severe burns. Turn off the engine and wait until they are cool before removing the exhaust system.

1. Remove the battery cover.  See: Starting and Charging/Battery/Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement

2. Disconnect the negative battery cable.

3. Remove the plug hole plate.  See: Engine, Cooling and Exhaust/Engine/Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement/Plug Hole Plate

Removal/Installation

4. Remove the air cleaner assembly. (L5)  See: Engine, Cooling and Exhaust/Engine/Intake Manifold/Service and Repair

5. Disconnect the A/F sensor connector.

6. Remove the A/F sensor using the SST.

7. Install in the reverse order of removal.
