Backup Lamp Switch: Testing and Inspection

BACK-UP LIGHT SWITCH INSPECTION

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.

2. Remove the battery and battery tray.  See: Starting and Charging/Battery/Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement

3. Remove the under cover.

4. Drain the oil from the transaxle.

5. Remove the back-up light switch.  See: Service and Repair/Back-Up Light Switch Removal/Installation [G35M-R]  See: Service and

Repair/Back-Up Light Switch Removal/Installation [G66M-R]

6. Verify that the continuity between the back-up light switch terminals is as indicated in the table.

If not as indicated in the table, replace the back-up light switch.
