Oil Seal (Differential) Replacement [A26M-R]

OIL SEAL (DIFFERENTIAL) REPLACEMENT [A26M-R]

1. On level ground, jack up the vehicle and support it evenly on safety stands.

2. Drain the oil from the transaxle.  See: Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement/Transaxle Oil Replacement [A26M-R]

3. Remove the front tires.  See: Steering and Suspension/Suspension/Service and Repair

4. Remove the splash shield.  See: Body and Frame/Splash Guard/Service and Repair/Splash Shield Removal/Installation

5. Remove the aerodynamic under cover No.2.  See: Body and Frame/Splash Guard/Service and Repair/Aerodynamic Under Cover No.2

Removal/Installation

6. Separate the drive shaft and joint shaft from the transaxle.  See: Drive Axles, Bearings and Joints/Axle Shaft Assembly/Service and

Repair/Removal and Replacement/Joint Shaft Removal/Installation

7. Remove the oil seals using a screwdriver.

8. Using the SSTs and a hammer, tap each new oil seal in evenly until the SSTs contact the transaxle case.
