DESCRIPTION
The information in this bulletin supercedes Service Bulletin Category 1, no. 037/88, issued 10/17/88. During normal operation, the timing belt moves
toward the front of the engine and in some cases may contact the timing belt guide plate. This can cause a squeaky noise at idle after the engine is
warmed up.
To correct the problem, the timing belt guide plate has been modified as shown. As you can see the modified configuration is two (2) pieces.
If you encounter a customer complaint regarding a squeak noise around the front of the engine, follow the checking procedure in this Service Bulletin.
CHECKING PROCEDURE
1.
Remove the upper timing belt cover.
