DESCRIPTION
The speedometer cable was incorrectly routed on some early production 323 vehicles, resulting in some speedometer cables being damaged or broken.
The routing of the speedometer cable has been changed since the production of March 13, 1986. For vehicles produced prior to March 13, 1986, you are
requested to inspect the routing of the speedometer cable at PDI or during routine service and modify as shown on page 2.
In addition, whenever replacing the battery or speedometer cable, make sure that the speedometer cable is correctly routed.
