Valve Clearance: Adjustments

1.

With No. 1 piston at TDC of compression stroke, adjust valves indicated in Fig. 43.

2.

Turn crankshaft one complete revolution to bring No. 4 piston to TDC of compression stroke and adjust remaining valves.

3.

Adjust intake and exhaust valves to .012 inch.

4.

After adjustment, install cylinder head cover gasket and cover. Torque cover attaching bolts to 43-78 inch lbs.
