Raise and support vehicle.
2.
Remove stabilizer bar from vehicle as shown in Fig. 7.
3.
Check stabilizer bar and bushing for wear or damage. Replace any component, if necessary.
4.
Install stabilizer bar into vehicle as shown in Fig. 7.

When installing stabilizer bar bushing, mount bushing so that the bushing seam faces rear of chassis. Mount bracket side of the stabilizer first and
temporarily tighten it. After mounting the control link side and with vehicle completely unloaded, torque attaching bolts to 23-34 ft.lbs. On
1986-87 models, tighten stabilizer bar attaching bolt so there is .43 inches of thread exposed at the bottom of the control link. On 1988 models,
torque attaching nuts so that there is .33 inch of thread exposed at top and bottom.
