Remove the retractor switch cover, insulator and contact plate.
CAUTION:
DO NOT allow retractor gears to fall out of place.
DO NOT touch the contact plate or insulator with your hand.
DO NOT allow foreign material to enter retractor assembly.
9.
Inspect the contact points for unusual wear or damage.

If contacts are badly worn or damage is present, replace the retractor assembly.

If no unusual wear or damage is present, the problem may be due to part misalignment. Proceed to step 10.
10.
Verify that the seat belts are still fixed in position and assemble the contact plates, insulator and housing.
CAUTION:
Refer to above precautions.
NOTE:
Carefully align pans as shown.

Reconnect the retractor switch harness and place connector in bracket.No
12.
Remove the binder clip and masking tape from seat belt.
13.
Reset both belts in appropriate buckles.
14.
Verify the repair according to the inspection procedure.

If the light does not illuminate, return the vehicle to the customer.

If the light illuminates, repeat steps 1 - 14.
